Happy Lodging!

This Could Be Your View

A few weeks ago, we visited Valley Vista Subdivision to get some fresh pictures of their progress.

Of course the Frio River is a major staple in the area while making the Canyon a “Tourist Trap”, but fortunately there’s a lot more we can offer our visitors including amazing panoramic views as seen here.

While up in the high hills enjoying the altitude and sight, a tourist stopped by us asking, “Are they building houses up here?” “Woooww!” That’s what we say & think too when we are up there envying the view.. Maybe if things pick up “ALOT!” for funrivers, we can convince the boss to splurge for a headquarters up in dem’ hills..

But as the “Title” of this article says… “This Could Be Your View!” If you’ve ever been to the Frio River Area or when you do come and fall in love like most people, Valley Vista has plenty of beautiful views on their lots similar to these.

However, we did see some “Sold” signs already up so if you are considering, don’t wait too long!

Big Weekend Coming Up… Oct 10th!

Looking for an excuse to come to the Frio Area soon… like….in about a week and half from now? Well, there’s a couple events that may sway you our way coming up the weekend of October 10th.

Fall is officially here, weather is cooling off a bit, the country is in quite a rut… so what better way to get away from wherever you are and and head up for some Frio Events!

If you haven’t checked out our event page lately, give it a look and rethink what you are doing this particular fall weekend. Since you are already here, I’ll give you a little preview… Let’s just say BBQ, Pumpkin Patch, Golf, Cycling and well…… the rest you’ll have to dig deeper HERE..

If you do decide to participate in the Frio Fall Festivities during the Oct 10th Weekend, consider checking out Four Frio Sisters’ Cabin whom is coincidentally opening their doors to guests the same weekend!

Scooter Houses, Rock & Roll & Lumber…..

This Past Saturday, we made our way to The Frio Canyon Motorcycle Shop (who by the way has some great chili cheese fries and what they call toothpicks-fried jalapeno sticks) to check out one of our clients, Kerry Sheppard, owner of Frio River Wholesale Lumber Co. play some tunes with his band- “WitZend.”

This was our first time to see Sheppard and his crew play and glad we finally got to see them rock & roll in the Frio Canyon. On top of Chili Cheese Fries & Good Music, Sheppard- the man of many talents was also showcasing a new venture of theirs called “Scooter Houses” A little while back, we would see these being built in the front of their Lumber Yard and always curious what they were up to with this hut looking project.

We recently found out these “huts” are actually storage units for folks’ Motorcycles, ATV’s and pretty much anything you want to stick in them. They can also make cabins out of these unique little buildings.

We are currently working on a site for them and have the Main Page up HERE but should be enough to see what these “Scooter Houses” are all about. Keep an eye out for the full site soon.

Enjoy!
